Spiti ton Kentavron is situated in a forested area on the edge of the village of Anilio, where the eastern slopes of the Pelion Mountains come down to meet the Aegean Sea … the ancient realm of the Centaurs.
Spiti ton Kentavron is a seasonal community and a holistic education centre, a research project devoted to exploring sustainability–the essential glue at the heart of the ecovillage movement–through the application of ecological or permaculture design principles. We seek to demonstrate new ways of sustainable and conscious living/ learning to effect personal and social change through sharing, heart-centred communication, artistic expression, and community development.
We are a centre for holistic holidays where international groups can gather together and share their knowledge and skills both in facilitated workshops and simply by being with one other. We promote an atmosphere that encourages people to relax, to recharge themselves and to look within. The myth of the centaurs and of Chiron the healer are testament to the restorative power of the region.
